  17. I have some questions about xdvik.
  18. I tried the previous version 1.1 and tested it against the 'old' xdvi.
  19. I struck upon a big difference (to me at least):

  21.     when I view a document with xdvi that has Postscript
  22.      fonts but the pk font can't be found, it will use cmr10 at
  23.     a comparable size (I do have several fonts in pk format).
  24.     xdvik (1.1) on the contrary, just displays cmr10 at 300dpi, which
  25.     is sometimes a big difference.

  27. I tried setting the XDVISIZES variable in the Makefile to the same
  28. contents as it had under xdvi (300:328: etc.). This didn't work, same
  29. behavior. Did I do something wrong?

  31. Am I also right that rpp*.*pk is a resident Postscript font
  32. Palatino that I cannot get in pk format unless I buy the
  33. rights to that font and make pk files out of those definitions?

  35. I recieve messages at startup that that font can't be found.
